Questions and answers
Straight answers about what ROAR Circle does today, and what it does not do yet.
What is ROAR Circle?
ROAR Circle is online software for churches and groups to manage members, attendance, events, group chat and accounting. Each church or group keeps its people, check-in, departments, serving rosters, messages and accounting in one private place, separate from every other church.
Which countries can use it?
Any country. ROAR Circle runs in the browser everywhere and its apps are in the App Store and Google Play. Churches set their own country, currency, time zone and phone format when they start. It is built for churches in South America, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, Europe and North America alike.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. It works in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer, and as an app for iPhone, iPad and Android. Members use the same app as leaders and see only what their role allows.
Does it work without internet?
Check-in does: open Check-in once while connected before the service, and it keeps working if the connection drops, then sends the check-ins when the connection comes back. The rest of ROAR Circle needs a connection, and it is built to stay quick on slow mobile data.
Can it send text messages and WhatsApp messages?
Messages go out by app notification and email, and you can show members your church’s WhatsApp Channel link. Sending texts and WhatsApp messages from ROAR Circle through a church’s own Twilio account is not offered yet; ask us about it.
Does ROAR Circle handle our money or take a cut of giving?
No. ROAR Circle is software only. It never collects, holds or moves donations and takes no cut of giving. Members see your church’s own ways to give, such as bank transfer, PayPal, Stripe, Wise, mobile money, GCash, UPI or Mercado Pago, and the treasurer records what came in.
What does the accounting cover?
Tithes, offerings, funds, expenses and counting batches, with giving statements for members, pledges, budgets on the Growth plan and above, and reports for the treasurer and the board.
Does it give tax receipts that meet our country’s rules?
ROAR Circle prints giving statements, but tax-receipt rules differ from country to country, and we do not claim that a statement meets any particular country’s legal rules. Please check with your accountant.
Where is our data kept, and who can see it?
On servers in the United States, with encrypted backup copies in the United States, Western Europe and Guyana. Each church’s records are separate from every other church’s. Only people in your church see them, and only what their role allows. We do not sell your data or use it to train AI. You can ask for your data to be exported or deleted.
What languages does it speak?
Member screens are in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese. Leaders’ screens are mostly in English.
How much does it cost?
Seed is free for up to 50 people. Paid plans are a flat monthly price for the whole church, from US$29, with 25% off for churches in the Caribbean, Latin America, Africa and South Asia. Every new church gets a 30-day free trial of the Family plan, with no card needed.
How do you keep our church’s information safe?
Each church’s records are kept apart by the database itself, not only by the app, and people see only what their role allows. Two-step sign-in is required for the owner, administrators and anyone who handles money. Phone numbers and email addresses stay hidden from other members unless your church chooses to show them. A parent approves a child’s own sign-in, and a chat that includes children needs two leaders. Everything travels encrypted, there is a full backup every night, and an activity log records every change to people, roles and money. No ads, and your data is never sold.
Can we try it first?
Yes. Start your church free for 30 days with no card. Nothing is deleted if you stop.
